Four youth were picked and they worked with a particular community and the local corporator from that community to discuss and deal with hyper local issues in wards 202 and 203. One group comprising two facilitators helped address issues related to water inadequacy, low pressure and unpredictability based on the need assessment surveys. The need assessments of the other group showed rehabilitation as a local concern. Both the groups worked with the local corporators to organize interactions between the local communities and the corporators as facilitators. These interactions in turn, were meant to enable the corporators to take notice of the issue and undertake change. Thus, by working in channels that was backed by democratic means of delivering governance, the youth facilitators aimed at helping build public pressure on the corporator. This intervention was found to be successful in one of the wards, where the corporator was supportive of the project and helped deal with issues related to water inadequacy. In the other ward, however, the general apathy of the corporator, meant that the facilitators were not fully successful in bringing their project to conclusion.
