Annual PUKAR Lecture
In this era of globalization mega cities like Mumbai are facing critical problems of equity of resource distribution. They are simultaneously becoming places of great human aspirations and deep human destitution.
PUKAR Annual Lectures aim to explore these issues from critical lenses of people who are immersed in it. To achieve this goal renowned international scholars and practitioners are invited to participate in this event. From economists to urban planners, from social scientists to grass root activists, corporate heads to policymakers, everyone debates and deliberates about concerns of citizens and cities. On one hand they bring a global perspective, experiences and narratives to Mumbai and on the other hand they learn from the local and inform the global.
